2018年1月3日、World Wide Web Consortium（W3C）が、報告書“W3C study on practices and tooling for Web data standardization”の公開を発表しています。

報告書は、「データのウェブ」やW3Cの標準化のための活動紹介、関係者を対象に実施されたアンケート調査の結果、標準化の普及を評価するための課題、標準を開発・利用するコミュニティを支援する必要性、標準を改善し新しい標準に必要なギャップを把握するためのフィードバックを得るための方法、標準化の過程の変更、セマンティックウェブのコグニティブウェブへの進化等の内容で構成されています。
