米国議会図書館（LC）が、長期保存のための推奨フォーマットのガイド“Recommended Formats Statement”の2020-2021年版の草案を公開し、2020年8月15日までパブリックコメントを実施しています。

同ガイドは、2014年に初版が公開されて以来、毎年1回更新されています。2020-2021年版については、コンテンツ分類への新規追加と名称の見直し、HTML版表示形式のテーブル形式への変更、複数のコンテンツ分類における推奨フォーマット・許容範囲内のフォーマット基準の更新など、2019-2020年版の内容から大幅改訂することが予定されています。
